Welcome to RRTA Network. It is our goal here to maximize our reach of saving pets throughout the nation, but we can only do it with you. Whether you are looking to adopt, foster a pet, helping to transport pets, or simply to help pets find their forever homes, we have a need for you.
The need is high for people to help save animals from high kill shelters, and also those that are homeless. The demand is high for people who can volunteer their time to help save animals they will likely never meet. Believe it or not, you can save pets by simply finding a reputable rescue that will take them. A forever home is best, but that can’t always happen when time is limited.
If you are currently an active animal rescuer and trying to find a home for a pet make sure to read the following steps:
1). Please make sure to post in our Facebook group, https://www.facebook.com/groups/231276420804762/
2). Reach out to for sale groups in the area and see if anyone is interested in the animal. A good way to do this is to search like this example. Miami For sale group on Facebook.
3). Use our tool, found here, http://rrta.org/rescuelist/examples/basic_init/listv1.html, and/or do a Google search for breed specific rescues and/or no-kill shelters within a 30 mile radius of where the animal is and reach out to those organizations via email if the animal has 3+ days, if 2 days or less, it is recommend to call. Also, it may be good to message them on Facebook as well.
4) If all above measures have been attempted and no success, please send us an email email@example.com
Make sure to include the FB link for the animal in question in your email and what you have done to try to save this animal. Let us know how much time we have.
Those who do this are greatly appreciated, as they are the legs to get pets from point A to B. They sacrifice their own time just to do this, and often it goes unnoticed. It is worth stating that we don’t setup these transport lines but we will help provide a list of those who are available to do transports. Some may even be able to foster a pet or pets for a short amount of time.
